What is a Giclée?
A French word commonly pronounced "gee-Clay." An invented term for the process of making fine art reproductions from a digital source using ink jet printing. The word "giclée" means "to squirt or spray". The intent of that name was to distinguish commonly known four color "lithograph printing", from prints produced on high quality ink-jet printers invented in the early 1990s. The term has since come to mean any high quality ink-jet print.
